EDEXCEL Level 2 BTEC Certificate in Business Administration
Qualification summary
This qualification is designed for those employed or hoping to enter employment in an administrative role. Learners will gain an understanding of what the role of the administrator involves, such as how to set targets for own work, following procedures, working with others and the effect of behaviour in the work place. Learners will also develop their understanding of administrative activities such as organising travel, planning meetings and diaries as well as dealing with visitors and managing information. Learners will develop their knowledge of IT applications and equipment and procedures for using office equipment. The qualification is assessed through a single onscreen test. It has been approved as a technical certificate on the Business and Administration Apprenticeship framework.

This qualification is approved as a technical certificate on the Apprenticeship framework. Learners completing this qualification could progress to other level 2 vocational qualifications such as the Level 2 BTEC First Certificate/Diploma in Business or to the Level 2 NVQ in Business and Administration; they could also progress to employment to work in suitable administrative roles such as team leader, receptionist, meeting co-ordinator.

Multiple Choice Examination
The units will be assessed by one multiple choice test which will holistically assess the knowledge and understanding. This test will be externally set and externally marked by Edexcel.
