For information on the approval of qualifications for funding in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, see the links to DCSF, DIUS, DCELLS, DELNI and DENI below.
When undertaking a qualification that does not appear on the governments' lists as eligible for funding for specific age ranges, users must be aware of legal requirements. Not all qualifications are suitable for all age ranges.
The qualification promotes a range of generic and transferable skills, personal qualities and attributes essential for successful performance in working life. Learners can progress to the EDEXCEL Level 2 BTEC Award in WorkSkills. They could also progress to employment in a sector of their choosing.
In order to achieve this qualification, the learner may only select units from the Edexcel WorkSkills suite of units. Units from other Awarding Bodies may not be included in the WorkSkills qualification.
In order to gain the Edexcel Level 1 BTEC Award in WorkSkills, a learner must successfully achieve a minimum of 3 credits.
