Qualification summary
This qualification provides learners with the opportunity to investigate the process of planning, preparing and producing a podcast. The qualification is designed to be flexible, as podcasts can be used to broadcast such a wide variety of information eg entertainment, music, comedy, news, promoting a product or service.
This qualification can be used to provide learners with as an introduction to podcasting, and an opportunity to develop their communication and creative skills.
This qualification aims to:
•understand the concepts of podcasting
•develop creative skills
•develop literacy skills through script preparation
•develop communication skills
•develop ICT skills
This qualification is not designed to focus on the technical skills associated with podcasting, although these will be developed as a result of completing the qualification.
