This qualification complements the principal learning across each topic and supports the development of creative and imaginative skills. Progression can be on to NVQ Level 3 Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy, or on to a Foundation Degree.

Practical Demonstration / Assignment
This qualification is assessed through assignments and practical observations, allowing the learner to use research and reporting skills, and then demonstrate practical skills.

These assignments are externally set, internally assessed, and then externally verified.
Candidates must complete the required number of units to achieve a total of 360 - 540 guided learning hours, from the Optional Units (Group A)
