Qualification summary

The ILM Level 3 Certificate in Workplace Coaching and Mentoring aims to equip practising and potential team leaders and first line managers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform effectively as workplace coaches and mentors as part of their normal work role; and in addition to equip them to possibly move into a development role within their organisation or as a freelance workplace coach and mentor.

Successful candidates may benefit from career enhancement and/or progress to any of the further qualifications listed, according to their circumstances:

ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring in Management
ILM Level 5 Diploma for Professional Management Coaches and Mentors

Candidates can also progress to various learning and development qualifications in training, assessment and verification, or to management development qualifications at higher levels.

Practical Demonstration / Assignment
Participants must meet all the mandatory assessment criteria in the qualification in order to achieve this qualification.

Participants must also successfully complete the minimum amount of credits specified for the qualification, including the minimum hours for induction and tutorial support, as specified in the Qualification Specifications.
Participants who have successfully completed units in this qualification which are also contained within other qualifications or which have been achieved in isolation as Certificates of Unit Credit will be granted exemptions for these units.

Candidates must complete the seven mandatory units worth a total credit value of 28 in order to achieve this qualification.

(Please note that the Guided Learning Hours for this qualification includes at least one hour of induction and four hours of tutorial support)
