EDEXCEL BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Understanding Enterprise and Entrepreneurship (QCF)
Qualification summary
The BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Understanding Enterprise and Entrepreneurship is drawn from the BTEC Level 2 Enterprise and Entrepreneurship sector suite of units. The BTEC Diploma is a work related qualification, developed with the National Enterprise Academy (NEA), that that focuses on the development of creativity and business planning skills and underpinning knowledge in enterprise It is designed for learners in full and part time education in further education.
The BTEC Dilpoma in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship covers much of the underpinning knowledge required for the National Occupational Standards in Understanding Enterprise. Units are signposted to National Occupational Standards for this purpose.
The specification is designed to cover those aspects of understanding enterprise considered to be essential for those considering developing enterprises in the future. This includes unist on business planning as well as units focussing on wider issues that will support learners who plan to develop their own enterprises or work in business in the future.
The units have been developed to assess personal learning and thinking skills across the qualification. Opportunities for developing Functional Skills have been signposted in units.

Learners can progress into the Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Understanding Enterprise and Entrepreneurship or the BTEC Diploma in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. Learners could also progress into a programme of GCE AS and A Levels in applied or traditional subjects.

The Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Understanding Enterprise and Entrepreneurship consists of 11 mandatory units that provide for a combined total of 60 credits and 360 guided learning hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.
