When undertaking a qualification that does not appear on the governments' lists as eligible for funding for specific age ranges, users must be aware of legal requirements. Not all qualifications are suitable for all age ranges.
This qualification will allow learners to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills for bringing up a young baby.
This qualification is not designed to give the learner vocational employability skills, but if they wish, learners will have the opportunity to develop skills needed to search for and apply for a job, interviews, and career progression.
Learners may also build on these units to progress to the Edexcel Level 1 Award for Parents to Be, the Edexcel Level 1 Award in Parenting, or the Edexcel Level 1 Certificate for Parents to Be and Parents.
In order to achieve this qualification, the learner may only select units from the Edexcel Entry Level Award for Parents to Be (Entry 3) (QCF). Units from other awarding bodies may not be included in this qualification.
To achieve this qualification, the learner must achieve a minimum of six credits. Learners must achieve the two mandatory units from Group A and another one or two units from Group B.
