Edexcel has the vision to equip young people and adults with the skills to obtain employment and build confidence so that they retain jobs and improve life chances for themselves and their families. At every stage of their lives, people need work-related skills. The units in the Work Skills Certificate will build on skills already taught in schools and colleges, recognising them with a formal qualification. The Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Extended Certificate in WorkSkills qualification encompasses the workplace skills, vocational skills and skills that research indicates employers seek in potential employees.

In order to gain the Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Extended Certificate in WorkSkills, a learner must successfully achieve a minimum of 18 credits. A minimum of 11 credits must be achieved at Level 2.

    Credit Value required: Minimum 18.
    Sub-components required: Minimum 1.
