Qualification summary
The Advanced Diploma in Public Services provides a programme in which learners can:
• investigate the range of different public services and what they do
• learn about marketing and customer service, in a public services context
• review the public services provided and suggest improvements to them
• find out about working in public services and career opportunities
• develop project management skills by contributing to public service projects
• develop their team working, communication, research and other employability skills
• develop functional skills in maths, English and ICT and Personal, Learning and Thinking Skills
• be inspired through an approach to learning and assessment that emphasises the application of knowledge and skills to relevant, real-world tasks.

The Advanced Diploma in Public Services enables learners to progress to employment within the public services sector and related industries. The qualification will also provide opportunities for progression to a range of further and higher education courses, and Apprenticeships.
