This qualification is designed with the aim to give people working in an organisation, a foundation for their formal development as an employee. The qualification does this by developing basic team membership skills and assisting participants in gaining the basic knowledge required at this level.

The progression route from this qualification would be onto ILM Level 5 Diploma in Innovation and Change Managent accredited by CMI. This qualification would also be good grounding for ILM Leadership and Management qualifications.

Task-based controlled assessment
Participants must meet all the mandatory assessment criteria in the qualification in order to achieve this qualification.

Participants must also successfully complete the minimum amount of credits specified for the qualification, including the minimum hours for induction and tutorial support, as specified in the Qualification Specifications.
Participants who have successfully completed units in this qualification which are also contained within other qualifications or which have been achieved in isolation as Certificates of Unit Credit will be granted exemptions for these units.
