Qualification summary

The Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Creative Media Production is designed as successor to the current Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National Award in Media Production.

The revisions to the BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Creative Media Production allow for the opportunity to update the units and revise the content where appropriate. Further information will be added to each of the units in terms of an Outline Learning Plan and also in relation to the delivery and assessment guidance. More detailed information in each of these sections will allow tutors to offer a more informed approach to the implementation of individual units and therefore also to the complete qualification.

The vocational context of the qualification is provided through the core units and additional optional units. The vocational nature of the qualification is underlined through links to the relevant Sector Skills Council (Skillset).

Opportunities for developing Functional Skills have been signposted in units.
