Large-scale Design
Unit summary
This unit aims to develop learners’ skills in large-scale design. It allows learners to explore and experiment with the manipulation of ideas and models in specialised areas of study such as architecture and interior design, environmental design, exhibition and display design, urban design and landscape design. Tutors should engage learners in the analysis of the characteristics of architectural, urban and natural space, their historical and contemporary development. This unit offers opportunities to develop and present design ideas through 2D design work but focuses on virtual model-making.
