This involves:
using software to plan and produce a simple web page (eg displaying a photo and short description about a person, product or a small business).

Learning Outcome Assessment Criteria
1 Recognise how to use website software 1.1 Identify who and what the information is for, where it will be used (eg on screen or hard copy) and when it is needed.

1.2 Identify what different features are used on websites.

1.3 Describe what features are used to help the user navigate round a website.

1.4 Describe what you like and don’t like about single page websites.

1.5 Identify the laws and guidelines that affect day-to-day use of IT.
2 Produce a simple web page. 2.1 Use basic file handling techniques for the software.

2.2 Use basic techniques to combine information.

2.3 Use a web design template to:
plan layout and format, and create a simple web site.

2.4 Use basic editing and formatting techniques appropriately.

2.5 Use spell check and grammar check to check the accuracy of simple text.

2.6 Check size, alignment and orientation of images. Check file format is suitable.

2.7 Uploading content to web page template.
