ABBE Level 4 NVQ in Property Management
Qualification summary
This level 4 qualification is aimed at those working in the area of property management. The award has a comprehensive spectrum of application to all those engaged in the management of land and buildings, whether as in-house managers of a property complex occupied for commercial, residential, community or heritage purposes, or as external managers of property owned for the purpose of financial investment and managed on behalf of the investor. The award will also benefit those external managers of property which is not primarily owned for financial gain, such as historic buildings, social, leisure or other community or non-profit focused purposes.
Candidates must complete 8 mandatory units which cover: contributing to preparing a quotation for services; investigate property management factors; establish, monitor and review property management plans; optimise property use; process property agreements; contribute to the resolution of disputes; determine the effective use of resources; and maintain effective and ethical relationships with others. Candidates must also complete two optional units and may complete up to three additional units, although these are not required for completion of the NVQ.

ABBE will deploy enhanced sampling for this award. ABBE will encourage a case study approach and holistic assessment. Enhanced sampling means that on a sample basis via the External Verifier, ABBE checks that the assessment judgements made by the centre are valid and reliable.
Candidates must complete all 8 Mandatory Units in Group A and 2 units
from the 5 units in Optional Group B. There are 3 additional units in
Group C which candidates may choose to complete but they are not
required for completion of this award.
