Welcome to the National Database of Accredited Qualifications

In late October, NDAQ will be replaced by the Register of Regulated Qualifications. For more information see Frequently Asked Questions on the Ofqual website.

The National Database of Accredited Qualifications (NDAQ) contains details of qualifications that are accredited by the regulators of external qualifications in England (Ofqual), Wales (DCELLS) and Northern Ireland (CCEA).

Users can search for details on current and expired accredited qualifications.

Diploma catalogues now available

New

NDAQ now holds catalogues for all Phase 1 and 2 Diploma lines of learning, available for teaching now, and all Phase 3 lines of learning, available for first teaching from September 2010.

Within each Diploma catalogue, users can view the principal learning and project qualifications available. They can also access a full list of the functional skills and additional and specialist learning (ASL) options for the line of learning and level. Users can also search for ASL qualifications using the filter option on the main search tab.

Centres should use the Diploma catalogues to identify the qualifications and valid combinations of qualifications that can be used to build appropriate Diploma programmes for learners. With the recent launch of Release 4 of the Diploma Aggregation Service (DAS), which included new functionality, centres can now create, amend, assign and approve a planned programme of study for one or more students in DAS. However, if a centre does not have access to DAS then they can still use the Diploma Validator tool to check that programmes of study selected for Diploma students meet the requirements of the Diploma.

The Phase 3 lines of learning are now showing in DAS and the Diploma Validator.
