ICM Level 3 Certificate in Credit Management
Qualification summary
The ICM Certificate in Credit Management is an established benchmark qualification for the credit industry developed by the largest professional body for credit management in Europe, the Institute of Credit Management (ICM). The Certificate provides a general introduction to all aspects of the credit management function, whilst developing a core business understanding in accounting, business law and the business environment. The core credit management unit covers basic principles, processes and techniques in credit management including the role of credit management, credit policy, risk assessment and control, customer service, telephone collections and debt recovery. There are six flexible ways in which to study, ranging from evening classes to correspondence courses and online learning.
Holders of the qualification are well prepared for supervisory or first line management roles in credit management and are eligible for Associate Membership of the Institute of Credit Management for which the designatory letters AICM are awarded.

Czech Republic - Malta - Scotland
There are numerous progression routes from this qualification into more senior or specialised credit roles and more general management posts. The Certificate provides access to the ICM Level 5 Diploma in Credit Management or the second year of the Foundation Degree in Credit Management at Thames Valley University. All programmes can be studied while working full-time.

Each unit award is assessed by a written 3 hour examination which is externally set and marked.
Examinations are held twice a year at approximately 40 centres in the UK. The examinations are offered at limited locations overseas.
Unit awards are graded 1 Distinction, 2 Credit, 3 Pass, 4 Fail, 5 Fail, 6 Fail.
There is no overall grading for the qualification

The qualification involves a total of 180 guided learning hours with the expectation of an additional 180 hours home study
