This qualification is suitable for intelligence analysts working in law enforcement or regulatory agencies. Staff will be involved in gathering intelligence on individuals or in considering specific areas, patterns or trends, in order to give meaning and direction to others.

Independent assessment will be supplied internally at the City & Guilds centre by the internal verifier and externally by the City & Guilds external verifier.
Candidates must complete all eight units to achieve this NVQ.

  • A/103/8482 - Obtain and evaluate information for intelligence analysis
  • F/103/8483 - Apply analytical techniques to interpret information for intelligence analysis
  • J/103/8484 - Use inference development to make judgements based on intelligence analysis methodology
  • L/103/8485 - Develop recommendations from the results of the intelligence analysis methodology
  • R/103/8486 - Create an intelligence analysis product to support decision making
  • Y/103/8487 - Disseminate the intelligence analysis product
  • D/103/8488 - Review the effectiveness of the intelligence analysis product
