Qualification summary

These are preparation for work qualifications which have been designed using the National Occupational Standards in Exercise and Fitness. They are level 3 vocational qualifications which focus on the development of the underlying principles and practical skills required in the Exercise and Fitness industry. They are designed to deliver occupational capability and provide a sound platform from which to enter into employment or progress onto further learning or training. They also underpin the Level 3 NVQ in Personal Trainer, and this will also act as the technical certificate component of the Exercise and Fitness Apprenticeship Framework. This qualification satisfies entry requirements onto the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS)

This qualification underpins the Level 3 NVQ in Personal Training, and is an excellent precursor to going on to undertake the NVQ.
Progression from the Level 3 would be into personal training, and then onto management or more specialised client groups or further/higher education.
This Level 3 Certificate will act as a technical certificate for the Apprenticeship Framework, which will enable learners to gain employment opportunities. They will also be available as ASL for the 14-19 Diploma.
