Trinity’s TESOL qualifications are accepted by the British Council as appropriate to teaching staff in their accredited language teaching organisations in the UK and in their own international teaching operations. The CertTESOL is widely recognised by employers as an initial qualification in TESOL, and thousands of successful trainees have used their CertTESOL to gain employment in schools and colleges all over the world.
Trinity’s Cert TESOL qualification is also confirmed by Lifelong Learning UK as providing allowable APEL towards the:
- Level 5 Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (ESOL) (QCF)
- Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (ESOL) in the Lifelong Learning Sector (QCF)
Trinity has designed, in association with LLUK, specific modules to facilitate the above.
The Certificate in TESOL also provides recognised progression routes to other professional qualifications in the sector including the Level 7 Licentiate Diploma in TESOL and Cambridge ESOL’s DELTA.
Cert TESOL has five units, which are internally assessed and externally moderated by Trinity. However, Unit 4–-the materials assignment—also involves external assessment by an examiner selected and trained by Trinity.
This qualification comprises five mandatory units, all of which must be passed for successful completion.
