Unit summary
The aim of this unit is to provide candidates with the opportunity to promote their knowledge and understanding of:
- the role played by their occupation within their organisation and industry
- the types of career pathways that are open to them
- where and how to get information and advice on their industry, occupation, training and career
- the breadth of their industry and know the types of representative bodies relevant to their industry and organisation
- the industry’s principles and codes of practice
- issues of public concern that affect their organisation and industry.
