Unit summary
The aim of this unit is to provide candidates with the opportunity to promote their knowledge and understanding of:
- designing and preparing an outdoor programme
- managing the delivery of an outdoor programme
- concluding an outdoor programme
- reviewing participants performance during an outdoor programme
- evaluating an outdoor programme
- promoting safety in the outdoor environment
- promoting conservation of the environment
- facilitating learning in the outdoors
- identifying and responding to child and vulnerable adult protection issues
- managing participants behaviour during an outdoor programme
- managing staff allocated to deliver an outdoor programme.
These aims can be achieved in the context of outdoor recreation, outdoor education or outdoor development training.
