Unit summary
In this unit candidates will be expected to:
Understand the role played by their occupation within their organisation and industry
Have an informed view of the types of career pathways that are open to them
Know where and how to get information and advice on their industry, occupation, training and career
Outline the structure of the industry and the features of the sector in which they work
Describe the types of representative bodies associated with the industry
Describe and work within their industry’s principles and codes of practice
Recognise and can form a view on issues of public concern that affect their organisation and industry.
