NPTC Level 5 Master Diploma in Professional Floristry (NDSF)

Qualification summary

The qualification has been developed in association with the Society of Floristry to produce a progression route from their Intermediate Certificate Society of Floristry and a replacement for the National Diploma Society of Floristry, which is not accredited but well respected in the industry. The assessment is made up of synoptic practical and written examinations and integrated assignments.

This qualification allows practicing florists to progress their practical floristry skills above level 4 in addition to the business management skills required for running a floristry business.

Written Examination
All writtten and practical examinations are externally set and marked by NPTC examiners. The integrated assignments are internally marked and externally moderated by NPTC examiners.
Units 401-405 are assessed by a synoptic written examination, which is externally set and marked by NPTC and 2 integrated assignments, which are internally marked and externally moderated by NPTC examiners. Units 406-410 are assessed by a synoptic practical examination, which is externally set and marked by NPTC examiners and an integrated assignment, which is internally marked and externally moderated by NPTC examiners. Examinations are available twice per year.
All 10 of the mandatory units must be completed. There are no optional units.
